Released in 1982, the Commodore 64 became one of the world’s best-selling home computers and is remembered as much for its music as for its games. Its SID sound chip gave composers an unusually expressive palette for a home computer, producing music that became an important part of the early history of video game soundtracks. This medley brings together music from five Commodore 64 games: Ghosts ‘n Goblins, Bubble Bobble, They Stole a Million, Rambo: First Blood Part II, and Myth: History in the Making. Together, these pieces recall an era when memorable melodies and inventive programming made a lasting impression despite the technical limitations of the hardware.
This arrangement, for extended big band, is intended for educational purposes only.
