“SONATA FOR CLARINET AND PIANO” (2017) was my first attempt at composing a substantial work since studying composition at Auckland University in the late 1990’s. The sonata is in four movements, each beginning with a short descending chromatic theme in the piano. It is intended as a recital piece for advanced clarinettists and pianists.
